And there’s a new number one.
Just over a week ago now, we highlighted a new resource called Xbox Game Preservation that had been set up to track the most-requested backwards compatibility additions from the original Xbox and Xbox 360 eras.
At the time, there had only been around 5,000 votes submitted on the site, but when Xbox revealed at GDC a few days later that backwards compatibility would be getting some kind of revival in 2026, it sent those votes into overdrive. In the past week, there have been over 50,000 votes submitted to the Xbox Game Preservation website.
